1) Identify Your Target Market:
The Professional Services Market
Each day, millions of professionals go to work at law firms, accounting offices, engineering firms, consulting and many other professional services offices throughout North America. These professionals work in offices of five or ten people, to upwards of several hundred employees and combine to provide a market of several hundred thousand offices, each requiring high quality office signs, desk plates, and other personalized identification and directional products.
This channel is perfectly positioned for full color sublimation!
It frequently requires 10 to 200 products of a common design, rich in color and appearance, with each piece personalized with the individuals name or office number, and is one of the largest opportunities in personalized products.
Consider the potential revenues from a Law Firm, employing 30 lawyers:

6”x6” Office signs: 30 @ $10.95 = |
$329 |
2”x10” Desk signs: 55 @ $6.95 = |
$382 |
Directory, meeting room signs, etc. = |
$300 |
Total: |
$1,100 |
How do you begin this process?
A great starting point is The Office Manager.
Within a law firm, engineering firm, accounting firm, etc, there will always be an individual(s) who serves as the office manager or chief administrative manager. In a firm of 15 -20 total professionals and support staff, it may be one of the senior professionals. In a larger firm, this individual is usually a dedicated position with significant business and administrative experience, but is normally not within the profession itself (ie: not a lawyer).
The Office Manger frequently has responsibility for human resources, accounting, scheduling, and facilities management. In this role as facilities manager, the Office Manager has responsibility for office upkeep, esthetics, and identification. As such, the Office Manager becomes your key contact for office signs, directional signs, desk plates, and more!
