Step 1. Get Your Heat Press Ready

Turn on your heat press. We recommend pressing all of our products at 385°F / 195°C. Be sure to lay a piece of protective paper on the bottom of the press.

Step 2. Prep Your Message Board

Remove the protective film from the surface of your message boards. Clean the exposed surface with a cleaning cloth, all-purpose cleaner, or a can of compressed air.

Step 3. Pair the Transfer with the Message Board

Lay the transfer down on a flat surface with the printed image facing up. Place the white side of the board face-down on the transfer and line it up. Take two to four pieces of heat tape and secure the board to the transfer.

Step 4. Let’s Sublimate!

Place the transfer and message board into the heat press.

Hardboard Message Board: 1:35 – 1:45
If pressing a hardboard message board place the message board into the press with the transfer on top, the blank product facing up. Lay another piece of protective paper on top of the message board and transfer. Confirm that the heat press is at the correct temperature and press.

Steel Message Board: 1:30 – 1:50
If pressing a steel message board please the message board into the press with the transfer on the bottom, the blank product facing down. Place a piece of polyester fabric or wax paper on top—the backs of our steel panels are specially treated, but this makes them sticky under heat. Confirm that the heat press is at the correct temperature and press.

Step 5. Remove the Message Board from the Heat Press

Once the timer is done use heat-protective gloves to remove the message board from the press. Let cool.
