Learn how to sublimate Unisub wall clocks! Our wall clocks consists of a blank insert piece, and clock hands. First, you will need to sublimate the insert piece and then you can put the clock together. Follow along below for instructions. If you are searching for templates, graphics or other assets click here.Â
We manufacture aluminum and hardboard clocks. Instructions for sublimation will stay the same, but pressing times will vary slightly.Â
What You Need
- Unisub clock; insert piece and clock hands
- Transfer from your sublimation printer
- Heat Tape
- Scissors
- Clean, lint free cloth
- Heat resistant gloves
- Protective paper (Blow Out Paper)
- Heat press set to 385°F / 195°C

Step 1. Get Your Heat Press Ready
Turn on your heat press. We recommend pressing all of our products at 385°F / 195°C. Be sure to lay a piece of protective paper on the bottom of the press.
Step 2. Prep Your Clock Face for Sublimation
Remove any film that may be on the surface of the clock. Clean off the blank with a cleaning cloth, all-purpose cleaner, or a can of compressed air.
Step 3. Pair the Transfer with the Clock
Lay the transfer down on a flat surface with the printed image facing up. Place the clock face on top of the transfer and line it up. Tape the blank to the transfer paper with a few pieces of heat tape.
Step 4. Let’s sublimate!
Place the transfer and blank into the heat press with the transfer on top. Lay another piece of protective paper on top. Confirm that the heat press is at the correct temperature. Pressing times are below.Â
Aluminum Clock Face: 1:30 – 1:40
Hardboard Clock Face: 1:30 – 1:45
Step 5. Remove Clock from Heat Press
Once the timer is done use heat-protective gloves to remove the clock from the press. Let cool.
Step 6. Assemble the Clock
Once cooled, proceed to install the mechanism and hands following the assembly instructions included in the kit.
